Ackerman Retail Completes Land Transactions for Popeyes Expansion in South Georgia

Vice President Stephen Lapierre represents developer Verdad Real Estate in acquisition
of properties for two Popeyes restaurants.

ATLANTA, April 8, 2020 – Ackerman Retail, a division of Atlanta-based commercial real estate services firm Ackerman & Co., has completed the acquisition of land parcels in Southeast Georgia on behalf of Verdad Real Estate Inc. for the construction of two Popeyes restaurants.

Vice President of Retail Services Stephen Lapierre represented the full-service real estate developer in the acquisition of .95 acres at 4818 Augusta Road in Garden City and a 1.05-acre parcel at 68 W. Coffee Street in Hazlehurst. Each parcel is the site of a 2,265-square-foot Popeyes restaurant.

“We’re excited to complete the acquisition of these two properties to accommodate the development of Popeyes restaurants, one of the fastest-growing global quick-service brands,” said Lapierre. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with Verdad Real Estate to assist them in their ongoing development and the programmatic expansion of this popular restaurant chain.”

Lapierre is also in the process of brokering the acquisition of a third site, in Savannah, for another Popeyes restaurant to be developed by Verdad Real Estate.
