Ackerman Retail Completes 17,850-SF Lease for New Shoe Gallery Location
EVP Courtney Brumbelow represents landlord in lease at Lakeland Plaza in Cumming, Ga.
ATLANTA, June 2, 2020 – Ackerman Retail, a division of Atlanta-based commercial real estate services firm Ackerman & Co., has completed a 17,850-square-foot lease with Shoe Gallery at Lakeland Plaza in Cumming, Ga., for the shoe retailer’s fourth store location.
Courtney Brumbelow, Executive Vice President for Ackerman Retail, represented the landlord, New Market Properties, in the lease transaction. The store opened for business this week.
“Lakeland Plaza offers Shoe Gallery a prominent position in a power center that features a dynamic mix of national and regional retailers at a busy intersection directly off of GA 400,” said Courtney Brumbelow. “We’re very pleased to complete this lease to accommodate Shoe Gallery’s growth.”
Barrett Ware, spokesperson for the Ware family, added: “As a family-owned business, we’ve been looking for a great location to expand our presence in metro Atlanta, and this successful shopping center in Forsyth County is a really good fit for us. We’re excited to bring Shoe Gallery to Cumming, Georgia.”
Shoe Gallery, which specializes in name-brand shoes at affordable prizes, opened its first location in Roswell Ga., on Holcomb Bridge Road in 1992 and also has stores in Johns Creek, Ga., and Oklahoma City, Okla.
Lakeland Plaza is a 301,711-square-foot power center with anchor tenants Sprouts, Belk, LA Fitness and Jo-Ann Fabrics.
