Ackerman & Co. Sells North Carolina BI-LO Anchored Shopping Center
Atlanta, February 23, 2012 – Ackerman & Co. has brokered the sale of Mountain Creek Plaza Shopping Center, a 49,583-square-foot retail center located in the Asheville MSA at 366 Russ Avenue, Waynesville, North Carolina. The property was sold for $3,375,000. The Ackerman & Co. investment sales team of Jason Powell and Andrew Murphy represented the seller, a private investor, in the transaction and procured the buyer.
Mountain Creek Plaza was originally constructed for BI-LO Supermarket in 1984. The property was renovated and expanded by Ahold Real Estate Company in 1996. At closing, the shopping center was 100% leased with BI-LO occupying more than 85% of the building’s gross leasable area.
